With an inimitable portfolio and an A-list client base, JaneMichael Ekanem has distinguished herself as one of Nigeria’s most in-demand fashion expert and creative. She is the host and creator of Revamp Your Style, an online show giving tips and ideas on how to stay fashionable by upcycling previously owned pieces to solve styling problems and ultimately saving costs for the fashion savvy.

JaneMichael Ekanem was the first Assistant Head Stylist at the GTBank Fashion Weekend in 2016 and went on to showcase a presentation of her collection titled “One-man Army” at the GTBank Fashion Weekend in 2018. She was the Fashion Curator for A Celebration of African Culture which hosted the French President, Emmanuel Macron at the Fela African Shrine in Lagos, Nigeria. She was one of the five hub managers & creative professionals hosted in the United Kingdom as part of the study tour of The Nigerian Creative Enterprise Support Programme Hub with the British Council and Foreign Commonwealth UK.

We have worked with style icons such as Tiwa Savage, Serena Williams, Yemi Alade, Wizkid, Ini Edo, Nancy Isime, Stephanie Busari, Bridget Kelly, Do2tun, Chioma Akpotha, to industry legends Joke Silva, Omotola, 2Face Idibia, and many fast-rising talents in the entertainment and corporate world.

In the area of fashion in print media, we have styled high fashion editorials for magazines such as TW Magazine, Complete Fashion, Exquisite Magazine, Schick Magazine and others. We have successfully worked with Africa’s media giant Mnet for media and production, providing wardrobe and styling solutions for their various productions.

Our fast-growing design company, JaneMichael Collection which began in 2016, has outfitted some of the most fashionable clients in the industry and the fashion world at large. In 2019 for the Essence Magazine Global Fashion Month Issue, we had the privilege of collaborating with Essence Magazine and artist Laolu NYC (Laolu Senbanjo) to outfit American Tennis Legend Serena Williams.

With four collections titled ‘The Ladypreneur’, ‘La Panache’, ‘Asian’ and ‘One Man Army’; we have applied ourselves to providing sustainable style options, as sought by the fashionably aware achieving individual. We have shown our collections at prestigious fashion shows such as – The Lagos Leather Fair 2017, GTBank Fashion Weekend 2018 and Fashion Finest Africa 2018, fully expressing our signature of timeless, disruptive & audacious fashion, with clean cuts and fine lines.

JaneMichael: A Renowned Stylist, Fashion Expert, and Author

As a pacesetting creative director, JaneMichael Ekanem has been a speaker at the TEDx Discovery Park Women 2017, a Mentor, and an Educator with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund. She has also been an influencer for Moët & Chandon, Samsung, Lux, Lancôme, and Ciroc. An Ambassador for the Youth of Akwa-Ibom State, she was featured on CNN’s Africa Voices in 2016, where she was described as ‘’the stylist of some of Africa’s hottest celebrities’’.

She is the Dean of School of Style Africa, a premium styling institute for style visionaries, which she established in 2016. JaneMichael Ekanem is also an award-winning mental health & wellness advocate and a published author with an autobiography about her life’s journey titled ‘April the 29th’.
